Zilco Happy mouth - apple bit jointed

This single-jointed half cheek bit with spoons is made from stainless steel and is widely used in harness racing due to its stability and mild action. Sometimes referred to as a half cheek snaffle, this design helps prevent the bit from being pulled through the horse’s mouth, ensuring consistent positioning.

The spoons hang below the mouthpiece and are positioned to reduce the risk of catching on the mouth or reins, while providing additional lateral guidance. This makes the bit especially suitable for ponies or horses that benefit from extra control and stability.

The mouthpiece is polyurethane covered, offering a softer action on the tongue and bars. It is also lightly flavoured to encourage better acceptance and relaxed contact.
